What happened
Anthropic announced on October 23, 2026 that its unified chat and Cowork experience is generally available for Claude Enterprise. Users can move from questions to file or code-based projects within the same conversation across web, desktop, and mobile.
The company says agentic tasks run in its managed cloud environment and can continue after a user closes their laptop. Admins can manage model access, budgets, and usage, including a new Efficient mode.
Availability matters
Anthropic says organizations using certain configurations, including customer-managed encryption keys or a HIPAA-ready setup, remain on their current configuration. Enterprise customers should check their rollout details rather than assume every workspace changes immediately.
