What happened
On October 22, 2026, Anthropic announced general availability of Claude Models on Google Cloud through an Anthropic-managed offering. It uses Google Cloud IAM credentials and billing, and eligible usage draws down existing Google Cloud commitments.
Anthropic says the offering provides the full Claude Platform feature set, including access to new features and betas when they reach its native platform. US and Global endpoints are available.
Why it matters
The new route lets teams use Google Cloud purchasing and access arrangements while receiving Anthropic's platform features. It differs from the existing Google-managed service: Anthropic operates the new offering and acts as the data processor.
