The built-in AI layer added to Slack's paid plans, designed to help teams manage high volumes of communication without losing important information. The core feature is channel and thread summarization: users can click a button on any channel or thread and get a concise AI summary of what was discussed, what decisions were made, and what action items were identified, without reading every message. A daily recap feature sends a morning digest of the most important updates across all channels a user follows, filtered to surface the messages most relevant to their work. The AI-powered search answers natural language questions by finding relevant messages, files, and links from across the entire workspace history. A reply drafting tool generates suggested responses to messages from a short description of what the user wants to say. All AI processing happens within the customer's Slack workspace data environment, so content is not sent outside the organization. AI features are an add-on at $10/user/month on top of existing Slack plan pricing.
