What this tool does
Course Recommender helps you pick a next MintedBrain Academy course using the same topic categories you see elsewhere on the site, optional “By role” personas (curated course lists per role), plus a beginner / intermediate / advanced choice. Matches are explainable: you see why a course surfaced (text overlap, tags, curated role picks, level fit). It does not call a separate generative model to invent titles.
What this tool does not do
- It does not guarantee enrollment outcomes or job outcomes.
- It does not replace reading the course page and syllabus.
- It is education only, not professional, medical, or legal advice.
Common questions
How does Course Recommender pick courses?
It loads the public course catalog and scores each course with weighted signals: overlap between your selected topics (and category hints from any roles you pick) and the course title, description, and learning tags (roles, audiences, industries). If a course is listed on a selected role’s curated list in our audience personas, it gets a strong boost. Your skill level choice is matched to course tags when available. Results are ranked and deduplicated so similar courses do not fill the whole list.
Why “courses” only?
MVP ships with Academy courses only so recommendations always link to a concrete course page. Paths and tracks may be added later.
Do I need an account?
No. The MVP does not save your selections as a personal history. You can still sign in for progress elsewhere on the site.
What if nothing matches?
Try more topics or a different skill level, or browse all programs from the Academy hub.
