A fork of Cline that adds custom agent modes, Roo Cloud (hosted agent runs), and SOC 2 compliance for team and enterprise deployments. Roo Code diverged from Cline to improve diff editing reliability on large files, reducing failed edits during complex multi-file refactors. Custom modes let teams define specialized AI personas. a 'code reviewer', a 'documentation writer', or a 'security auditor'. each with different system prompts, allowed tools, and model choices. Free for individuals via VS Code extension; Roo Cloud team pricing is available on request.
