Alibaba's family of open-source large language models, covering text, code, vision, audio, and math. Qwen 2.5 models range from 0.5B to 72B parameters and are among the top-performing open-weight models on multilingual benchmarks, particularly for Chinese and English tasks. Qwen-Coder and Qwen-Math are specialized variants for coding and mathematics. Models are available on Hugging Face under Apache 2.0 and Qwen licenses, and can be run locally via Ollama or LM Studio. The Qwen API is available through Alibaba Cloud (DashScope) at low cost. Popular for multilingual applications and as a base for fine-tuning.
