What happened
Cursor put its iOS app into public beta on June 30 for all paid plans, with 75% off Composer 2.5 runs through July 5. The release brings Cursor's AI coding agent to mobile.
The same update expanded team marketplaces to support Team MCP servers and organization groups. Admins can configure a Team MCP server once and distribute it across cloud agents, the IDE and the CLI. Teams plan changes took effect for renewing customers on July 1.
Why it matters
A mobile client lets developers kick off or check on coding tasks away from their desk, which fits the shift toward longer-running agents that work while you are elsewhere. It extends where the agent can be supervised.
Centralized MCP configuration is a real convenience for larger teams. Setting up a server once and pushing it everywhere reduces drift and per-developer setup.
MintedBrain take
Mobile coding agents are more about oversight than authoring on a phone. The Team MCP distribution is the quieter but more useful change for organizations trying to standardize their tooling.
